CITY OF DANBURY SEEKING POLICE OFFICER APPLICANTS The City of Danbury Police Department is pleased to announce that it is seeking diverse individuals who would like to pursue a career in law enforcement. Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, April 30, 2008 no later than 4:30pm. Applicants must be United States Citizens, 21 years of age or older with a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and no criminal record. Mayor Boughton explained, “The City of Danbury is reaching out to anyone interested in a law enforcement career. Danbury’s Police force is moving quickly into the future with a state-of-the-art new Police Headquarters currently under construction and an extensive restructuring of our Department’s infrastructure. Hiring new Police Officers will enhance our plans for a growing, exceptional Police Department.” Individuals who apply or are interested in applying are encouraged to attend an Orientation Session on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 7pm in the Danbury City Hall Council Chambers on the third floor.
