Whats my chances

ejb199- the police are considering giving pcso’s the power to arrest and also the pcso’s tend to use that role as a stepping stone to become a pc
the police force are now employing more pcso’s as this is away of finding decent people who they can train to be"proper police"

I am interested in joining the Gibraltarian Police Force, but can not find any recent information relating to this. I understand that it is a British Police Force, and as such does this mean someone could transfer from a force in the UK? Any information would be helpful.

I’ve currently applied to join the Police force and put my application to my county’s Police headquarters five weeks ago. I’m getting frustrated with waiting to hear news on how the process is going and how successful i have been. I just want to know how long i have to wait realistically as i’m keen to play my part and prove myself as a Police Officer.
Thanks.

Is it possible to work full time as a Police Community Support Officer and as a volunteer Special Constable within the same police force?
Or is this classed as a conflict of interest?
Reliable answers only please.

I have given up waiting for my local police force to recruit officers and am applying for the PCSO’s.
Is it possible in this role to carry on as a bouncer if employed as a PCSO? Would it make any difference if the area I policed was 20+ miles from the nightclubs I worked in?

Hello all.
Ive been considering applying for the police force for a while now and have checked the website but it says that none of the forces are recruiting right now. Does anyone know how they do their recruitment?, in terms of is it at certain times Of the year or just in random blocks of recruitment all at one time?
any help would be appreciated thanks.

I am at university and just started my first year but have decided that I would really like to join the police force rather than do a degree for 3 years then join the rat race aged 30. Does anyone have any info/advice on joining the force? I’ve heard it’s quite difficult but I’m fairly fit and literate!
