During an interview to become a police officer, is it OK to say that you’ve always wanted to be a cop (if it’s true)? I’ve heard that people have been rejected because of their over-enthusiasm. Is this right?
I’ve currently applied to join the Police force and put my application to my county’s Police headquarters five weeks ago. I’m getting frustrated with waiting to hear news on how the process is going and how successful i have been. I just want to know how long i have to wait realistically as i’m keen to play my part and prove myself as a Police Officer.

I would like to become a Police Officer, however my local constabulary aren’t recruiting earlier than 2010. So I am looking at the possibility of becoming a PCSO. How long will I have to be a PCSO before I can apply to be a Police Officer and what is the process?
